Summary:
The Sr.
Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the management and oversight of the supply chain activities for the organization to include project identification and implementation, contract compliance, supply chain center of excellence and overall supply chain result improvement.
This includes coordination and implementation of supply expense initiatives, best practices, and executing the corporate initiatives to drive supply chain optimization.
Directs and maintains all supply chain analysis, metrics, and initiative savings tracking.
Guides and coaches' facility material managers and directors of supply chain to deliver results and build skills and capabilities.
Responsible for facilitating large, complicated, often cross functional projects with significant financial impact to the organization.

Additionally, effective relationship management of both internal and external customers and peers, including but not limited to, senior level corporate managers, field and facility managers, hospital CEOs, CFOs, CNOs and supply chain leaders, ASC Administrators, ASC Clinical Leaders and ASC Supply Chain Leaders, Suppliers, and Consultants will be crucial to the success of this position.
Essential Functions/
Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of a multidisciplinary team focused on ensuring data and technical requirements are met to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations.
Operational management & supervision across the entire supply chain continuum:
data management, sourcing & contracting, contract management, vendor management, purchasing & procurement, replenishment, logistics, inventory management.
Develops and coaches chain operations teams; conducts performance reviews on a regular basis and as needed; ensures the team's knowledge and competencies grow to match the evolving needs of the organization and sophistication of the changing market needs and new product introductions.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements to maximize effectiveness of the division's resources and processes along with enhancing the organizational structure, reporting structure, and role requirements.
Evaluate present supply indicators and benchmarks and develop a detailed, tailored set of dashboard indicators to govern the performance of Supply Chain Operations teams in the future-state.
Oversight of master system data and contract repository and ensure accurate, complete, and timely entry.
Use a standard nomenclature to ensure accurate searching and reporting needs are met.
Coordinates contract updates with the contract management team.
Act as primary liaison with clinicians and physicians as well as other leaders to enable consistent service delivery, system strategy alignment and financial effectiveness.
Ensures all performance measures are actively managed and continuously improved.
Ensures daily operations of facility material management follow correct processes to maintain and efficient and cost-effective workflow.
Ensure a process of Supply Management Action and Response Team is implemented and being utilized within facilities to deliver results.
Train regional supply chain directors as well as facility material managers on concepts, policies, best practices across markets/facilities, procedures etc.
Maintain strong relationships with Group level leadership and responsible for maintaining the communication flow between home office, facilities, and group level leadership.
Monitors and takes the necessary actions needed to alleviate, mitigate risks and mediate/resolve facility and vendor issues that may arise within the organization.
Provides subject matter input to presentation materials developed to support sales and marketing efforts and actively participates in GPO contract process as a presenter when requested to do so.
Drive savings and improve Surgery Partners' financial performance through negotiation, process improvements, strategy recommendations, and the implementation of existing GPO and Surgery Partner contracts.
Creates best practices operationally to ensure facility level engagement is strong.

Expert knowledge in supply chain operations Expert in data modeling and reporting Strong financial acumen Proficient Knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies.
Experience navigating data and analytics in a corporate setting Possesses strong analytic skills and process management activities Proficient knowledge of MMIS systems (e.
g.
ENVI, Lawson and Coupa).
Proficient in S&OP and budget planning Ability to translate objectives into project planning priorities, create and manage work plans and timelines for multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies, procedures, and business processes.
Strong team and people leadership skills.
Skilled in upward communication as well as across and downward communication to inform and influence others no matter where they fit in the organizational chart.
Ability to understand and create, model, test and execute complex contracting scenarios.
Ability to understand, synthesize and make quantitative/qualitative assessments of medical/surgical market, purchasing, and clinical data.
Ability to communicate clearly and make presentations of varying complexity levels to audiences of various organizational roles and levels of responsibility.
Ability to work effectively with experts from many healthcare specialties as a team member, coordinator and/or facilitator.
Ability to maintain professionalism in potentially difficult situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other software/systems which may be required.
Demonstrate level of organization ability and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Accredited College Bachelor's Degree required; Graduate degree preferred (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance) At least 10 years of relevant and proven work experience in Healthcare, Finance, or Supply Chain.
Advance experience and knowledge of managing supply chain operations, including areas of contract optimization, MMIS/EDI, and vendor negotiations/ relations.
Knowledge of database management, MMIS/ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel required.
Project Management skills are critical with the ability to manage many projects with changing priorities.
Organizational skills, prioritization and flexibility is also important.
Relevant work experience includes, but is not limited to:
supply chain operations, surgery center operations, strong analytical skills and contract optimization Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
