Quality Liaison
The incumbent will be handling all quality related matters in the Wrth Electronics Midcom HQ located in Watertown, SDThe person in this position is required to collaborate closely and regularly with customers and other internal departments, mainly DE and SalesAlso working together with the Manufacturing facilities in China to ensure smooth and effective quality setup in all processes and during a parts life cycle, herewith minimizing quality issues and achieve or exceed present quality targetsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
oArranges all quality related day-to-day activities for the Watertown facilityoAssures quality- as well as business objectives while insuring Safety and quality standards i.

wproduct requirementsoEstablishes him/herself as the point of contact for product quality of North American customers and acts as the strategic quality link between customers, sales, DE as well as production quality and engineering teams in the manufacturing sites, herewith supporting closed loop quality processesActively participates in defining corrective & preventive actions, and pursues active verification of such CAPA plansoLeads failure analysis efforts and recommends the true root-cause through a structural and standardized process approachoSupports electrical and mechanical changes and/or DFMEA initiatives from a quality standpoint through risk identification and by working closely with development and DFM teams to maintain product/process quality levels and quality standardsoChecks compliance to all safety related matters oUnderstand mechanical and electrical product documentation; oSupports internal system, quality & procedure audits and leads external & customer audits in WatertownoSupport the maintaining and updating the company's Quality systems/certificationsoParticipates in occasional customer visits regarding quality related matters together with sales and DEDESIRED SKILLS &
Experience:
oMinimum of 3 years' work experience in QualityoExperience in electrical component manufacturing processes and/or detailed experience with plastic injection molding, wires and cores manufacturing processes is considered as a distinct advantageoProven ability to perform a part failure analysis and experience in establishing detailed technical analysis reportsFamiliar with quality tools as 8D, cause-and-effect, DOE etcoPrevious experience in dealing with Chinese nationals or Chinese manufacturing facilities and knowledge of the Chinese culture is regarded as a big plusEDUCATION:
