Facility Engineer
Summary
Performs all construction work and all maintenance work not done by the Engineering Department or outside contractors. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assists Engineering personnel as necessary.
Maintaining all building temperature control equipment on the roof A/C units, Evaporative coolers etc.
Maintaining, repairing, and installation of piping, cooper, steel, PVC, etc.
Diagnosis of electrical circuits for temperature control equipment.
Roof patching and coating.
Performs building maintenance and repair as needed. Lighting, Water fountains, Restrooms, etc.
Ability to work with outside contractors and all departments.
Performing other duties as assigned by engineering Department.
Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Desired Experience
Three to five years in building trade. Thoroughly familiar with all aspects of building maintenance (those areas not maintained by Engineering Department Personnel).
Desired Education
High School diploma or equivalency and Vocational/Technical training in such areas as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, wiring, floor covering, etc., or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
Flowers bakery experience preferred.
